We tried to walk to this permanent exhibit and kind of got lost. It was my fault because I trusted Andrew Sloin completely. Even after SPF50 sunblock, my dome was cherry.
As far as the museum goes, the exhibits didn't create their intended affects on me and most of my group. The most moving was the children's memorial, a veiled candle that reflected thousands of times on panels of glass to produce morphing constellation as I moved around the exhibit.
Other group members remarked that the memorial in Washington D.C. seemed more effective. I wonder if our lackluster response to the exhibit has more to do with learning about the oppression of Palestinians as illegitimate citizens on their own land. It's oxymoronic.
